The Hunterdon County Camera Club ceased operations at the end of 2017 because we did not have enough members to
finance our operations. Many of our club members were disappointed and wished that we could continue. Since that
time, quite a few people in the county "discovered" us saying, "I didn't know there was
such a club in Hunterdon". We have decided to give the club another try, but this time reducing our costs and
operating differently than before.
One of the main goals is education to help all of our members improve their photography skills. Other reasons for
joining the club are to associate with others who have a strong interest in photography and to participate in
field trips. The meetings will be more informal and not as structured as in the past. Initially, a program committee,
a field trip committee and a publicity committee are planned to give the club direction.
Our new meeting location is in Flemington, which should make it more accessible to a greater number of people. In
lieu of dues, we will charge $5 per person at each monthly meeting. Excluded are parents, spouses and other non-photographer
persons who accompany a photographer.
The club is in the formulation stage and we expect there will be issues to work out as time passes. Expect to see
changes in this website as the club works out how we want to function.
